I've Been Tagged! Color in Vintage....

I've been tagged by eVINTAGE SOCIETY member SYDNEY'S VINTAGE....play along with me!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?
Orange!! Love it. Bright monk's robe orange.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BRIGHTLY COLOURED PIECE IN YOUR INVENTORY?

Since I started the blog tag as the eVintage blogger, I'm answering with a fellow member's dress, ANDAPANDA, listed now on eBay (click piccie!)......a luscious orange lace wiggle cocktail dress.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO ADD COLOUR TO AN OUTFIT?
I like bright plastic, large size jewelry....modern or vintage!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOUR TO WEAR?
Pinks, greens and red.

WHAT COLOUR ARE YOU WEARING RIGHT NOW?
Um, pjs.....so Miller High Life pj pants and a tank top. There is no matching when sleeping!

WHAT COLOURS DO YOU DECORATE WITH?
Copying my eVintage answer, too sleepy to get clever here....."Danish Modern teak brown and aqua for the living room, leopard print tones with salmon, aqua and white in the sunroom, 40s tropicals in greens and coral pinks in the dining room and the bedroom is Ikea-esque orange, red and pink. I love red and pink together!"

Done and done. I'm tagging fellow eVintage member Julie, of >DAMN GOOD VINTAGE! Go Julie!

An estimated 37,680 cases of pancreatic cancer will be diagnosed this year, and the estimated death toll is a staggering 34,290. The outlook for someone diagnosed today with the disease is bleak. I've recently lost my father to the disease after a brave 6 month battle, so cancer of the pancreas has hit up close and personal with me. It is a mean disease that does not discriminate. The recognized color for support of those fighting the disease is purple, and this stunning Alix of Miami dress is just the kind my Dad would have liked to see on a dame. dated.

aside from my love of the nod-to-the-80s ok kinda 90s Madonna we have going on here, I can't help but notice (or be seriously distracted by) the fact that the layout of MADONNA on the cover of the current issue of DAZED & CONFUSED MAGAZINE gives the illusion of her posing as her retro-togged self in front of the word DATED.

"Burning Up" much? Thats all.

couture slouch.

I used to collect nesting dolls, whether it be my Ukranian background or a love of pretty painted dolls. I've long ago abandoned the collection but when I saw these nesters on ETSY I was smote! Smitten, indeed. Vintage couture on nesting dolls! From designer BELLESLETTRES.......

fever.

can't get to the online business, the small one has a fever and general all-around craptastic feelings (and attitude) so with that, i give you miss PEGGY LEE in an ensemble that should make a die hard vintage dress fan yearn for skirts.

like this one. from eBay seller LA FEMME DU MONDE VINTAGE, and with a few minor flaws a very affordable price for an every day kind of vintage skirt with serious summer color in a tropical, Hawaiian-esque print.

PS, the Peggy links to a superb website.

saturday night cocktails.

its boozin' time! if its not for you, sad indeed. i promise you won't be able to get through this montage of Thin Man films (featuring the ever-handsome and dapper William Powell whom I would like to marry thank you, and the glamorous yet cheeky Myrna Loy) highlighting their alcohol-related high-jinks without pouring yourself a stiff one...

would that i could be so fashionable after a few or few too many!
